The newly constructed V. Sundararaj Naidu Auditorium at Sanatana Dharma College, Alappuzha was formally inaugurated today in a grand function held on the college premises.

The ceremony began with a ribbon-cutting and plaque unveiling by Smt. Padmavathi Padmanabhan, daughter of Late Sri. V. Sundararaj Naidu. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp was performed jointly by Sri. S. Rammohan, Member of the SDV Managing Committee and son of Late Sri. V. Sundararaj Naidu, along with Smt. Padmavathi Padmanabhan.

The formal function commenced with a prayer, followed by a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Prabhakaran Nair V. R., Principal in Charge of the college. The programme was presided over by Sri. P. S. Raghavan, President of Sanatana Dharma Vidyasala.

Delivering the inaugural address, Sri. S. Rammohan highlighted the vision and contributions of Late Sri. V. Sundararaj Naidu and expressed hope that the new auditorium would serve as a vibrant hub for academic and cultural activities.

Sri. R. KrishnaH, President of the SDV Managing Committee, Sri. P. Krishnakumar, Manager of the college, and Sri. S. Sundararaj, grandson of Late Sri. V. Sundararaj Naidu, also addressed the gathering.

A special highlight of the function was the honouring of the technical team behind the construction of the auditorium. The honours were presented by Sri. N. Neelakantan, Secretary of the SDV Managing Committee, to Architect Jayanand Kilker, Sri. P. S. Baburam, Managing Director of B Ram Nirman Pvt. Ltd., and Sri. Mukesh, former PWD Engineer and site engineer.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sri. A. Sivasubramanian, Member of the SDV Managing Committee.

The event witnessed the participation of faculty members, students, dignitaries, and well­ wishers, marking a signific nt milestone in the development of the institution.
